The SnIV atom, located on a special position on a twofold rotation axis, exhibits an octa­hedral environment. In the crystal, mol­ecules are linked by N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds between the 4-chloro­anilinium cations, [SnCl6]2− anions and Cl− anions
